Does the HCG Weight Loss Plan Work? A Layperson's Controlled HCG Review

How can a weight loss protocol almost universally rejected by the medical profession have such overwhelming anecdotal evidence of success? Like most, I want a simple answer to a simple question: does HCG really work? Is it just about calories in, calories out? Or is it something more? I need to lose 55 pounds. L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Lipstick - Naturally Nude (daily).

To moisturize my skin, I use Vaseline Intensive Rescue Repairing Moisturizer daily, and as needed throughout the day.
