The Simplified Food Plan

The food portion of Dr. Simeon's plan is on pages 59 - 61 of his manuscript.  With exceptions noted in italics, I've summarized it below.

  • HCG: .5 ml sublingual (60-90 seconds before swallowing) prescription HCG upon awakening, then again 12-14 hours later around dinnertime. Nothing to eat or drink at least 10 minutes after the drops.
  • HUNGER:  Phentermine HCl 35 mg; Lexapro 20ml once a day, upon awakening.  NOTE:  this is not from Dr. Simeon's plan.
BREAKFAST.  Coffee, tea, water (including mineral water).  NOTE:  I also drink Smooth Move Tea nightly to help with regularity (careful, this works well).

  • One Meat: 3.527 ounces / 100 grams of veal, beef, chicken breast, fresh white fish, lobster, crab, or shrimp.  
    1. All visible fat must be removed before weighing and cooking.
    2. Meat must be weighed raw.
    3. Meat must be boiled or grilled without adding fat (i.e., Pam).
    4. Salmon, eel, tuna, herring, dried/pickled fish NOT permitted.
  • One Vegetable:  Chosen ONE (i.e., no mixing) from spinach, chard, chicory, beet-greens, green salad, tomatoes, celery, fennel, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus, cabbage.  NOTE:  I generally eat 3.5 ounces of vegetables a serving.
  • One Starch:  Grissini (1) OR Melba toast (1).
  • One Fruit: Chosen ONE of either an apple, an orange, one-half of a grapefruit, or a handful of strawberries. 

DINNER.  Same structure as lunch, EXCEPT choosing different menu items!  For example, if you had an apple, spinach, chicken for lunch, have an orange, asparagus, and beef for dinner

  • Seasonings:  Salt, pepper, vinegar, mustard powder, garlic, sweet basil, parsley, thyme, majoram, juice of one lemon (total, per day).
  • Sweetener: Saccharin.  NOTE:  I use Stevia (liquid is best for no aftertaste).
  • NOTE: Recipes I Use:
    1. Soy Sauce Substitute: Bragg's Liquid Aminos (typically found in organic foods section near the apple cider vinegar).
    2. Salad Dressing: Apple cider vinegar, liquid aminos, garlic or garlic powder, and Stevia.
